The venue overlooks delightful Coogee Beach and is conveniently located close to the city centre and Sydney Airport
You may wish to remain at your already booked Sydney hotel, but a limited number of rooms will be available at Crowne Plaza Coogee Beach for the nights of March 29, 30 and 31 at a discounted rate of AUD$285/night for a standard room (inclusive of all taxes and charges and providing breakfast for 1 guest). A second guest may be accommodated but there would be an extra breakfast charge of AUD$25, if applicable.
You will be able to book these rooms, upon a first come first served basis, after registration with this satellite meeting. Upon completion of registration, we will email you a “group booking code” for the hotel. All further arrangements with Crowne Plaza Coogee Beach will then be your personal responsibility.
Keynote presenters:
Professor John Danesh from Cambridge, Principal Investigator of the Emerging Risk Factor Collaboration. He will conduct a seminar on META-ANALYSIS, devoted to methodology, interpretation and pitfalls of this approach.
Professors Perminder Sachdev, Henry Brodaty and Lynn Chenoweth from Sydney will present papers on Mild Cognitive Impairment and experiences of the Sydney Memory and Ageing Study, white matter pathology, and care of those with dementia.
Professors John McCallum and Leon Simons from Australia will present latest data from the Dubbo Study.
There will be opportunity for oral presentation of free communications (10 minutes + questions), provided you submit a title and brief abstract before February 27, 2012. The abstract will not be published but it is needed to assist with program selection. You may also offer the same abstract already submitted to ISA2012, as attenders may not have seen or heard your paper. It should be emailed to: L.Simons@unsw.edu.au
Registration
There is a registration fee of AUD$75 (inclusive of GST), which will also cover tea/coffee breaks, lunch and the conference dinner in the evening. You are welcome to bring an accompanying person to the conference dinner but this will require an additional payment of AUD$50 (inclusive of GST).
Registration is free for Post-Graduate Students (not including the conference dinner).
